Conway Stewart Fountain Pens
Conway Stewart & Company Ltd. is a British company founded in 1905 by Thomas Garner and Frank Jarvis which manufactures writing instruments. The two founders became experts in the field of pen manufacture due to their stay with the famous British manufacturer De La Rue Company, which is the leading British fountain pen producer at the time. After working with DeLa Rue, the two formed their own pen company which became quite successful, even rivaling the De La Rue itself. The rest is history.

Conway fountain pens indeed have made its own mark in the fountain pen industry. No less than Winston Churchill and Tony Blair are Conway fountain pen users. A model was even named after the former, the Churchill Limited Edition pen. These pens each have their own serial numbers.
The Conway fountain pens are famous for their smooth writing nibs and comes in great colors. The nibs itself are of different designs and styles. There are extra fine nibs, fine, medium, fine italic nibs, broad, double broad italic, broad italic and fine italic nibs.
Some of the more inportant and popular models of Conway fountain pens are the Dinkie of 1920s to 1960s, the Duro, Dandie, International and Universal from 1930s to 40s and many other models that are distinguished by its serial numbers.
There usually is a jewel at the very top of the cap which crowns the pen. It also has these very sophisticated engravings on the body. If it matters, the clip actually looks good when the pen is placed on a shirt pocket.
The later creations of Conway are already belonging to the high-end or luxury pens. The nibs are already made of 18 carat gold. There are limited edition models that are popular to collectors and pen enthusiasts. The 58 series, the Duro and Dinkie series are still sought after by many.
Luxury pens such as Conway Stewarts are not just made for writing, anyway, but are fashion statements and status symbols as well.
