With the introduction of his first Limited Edition collection in 2000, David Oscarson used precious metals, Guilloche engraving and Hot Enamel. All seductive and has that distinct rich feel in the hand that is present in all of his collections. He also presented designs inspired by Henrik Wigstrom, the man responsible for crafting the famous Russian Imperial Easter eggs from 1903 until the time of his death in 1923.
Wigstrom was definitely Faberge’s best craftsman. He was a Finnish-born man who mastered goldsmith techniques and jewelry making. He also designed cigarette cases, frames and beautiful figurines which were made during Faberge’s golden years. He was the one who created the famous Trophy Egg or the “Egg with Love Trophies in 1907.
This creation of Wigstrom is the elemental basis of the fountain pen collection released by David Oscarson as a tribute to the master. It was called Henrik Wigstrom Trophy Collection. The collection sold so well and won Oscarson various awards.
