Faber Castell fountain pens comes with three boxes—the outer box, another secondary inner box and then the wooden box that holds the pen—which is quite a mystery. The built of the pen seems intricately crafted. It is very well-made and durable.

The pen, in fact, is heavy. It can be a little bit tiring to use it for a long time but who does that anyway? The solid weight of the pen actually adds to its balance which creates consistency.

Writing with a Faber Castell fountain pen is very much enjoyable. It produces fine and smooth result on any kind of paper, much like its Dunhill counterpart. This is because the nib is quite heavy as well. It comes with two tones.

The downside of the pen is its silver finish which tarnishes easily. Although the cap fits perfectly on a shirt pocket, one has to be careful when placing it anywhere as the silver-plated casing scratches.

Aside from that, another disadvantage is its price. The pen is a bit more expensive as a mid range level pen which does not give one the value for her money. If only for its inherent durability, it is easy to reconsider the other replacements to the Faber Castell.
